Electric Quad Tour in Barcelona - The City’s Top Sights

BARCELONA

10/28/2025

Not your average sightseeing tour

I’ll be honest, I booked this tour mostly for my boyfriend. He’s into anything with wheels, and I thought it’d be a fun change from our usual walks around the city. I didn’t expect to love it myself as much as I did in the end. The Barcelona Quad Tour turned out to be one of the most fun and easy ways I’ve explored the city.

Forget slow buses and crowded walking tours. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours, and you cover a lot: La Rambla, Plaça de Catalunya, Arc de Triomf, and even a drive-by of Sagrada Família. You’re not stopping for long history lessons, just cruising through the city and getting the whole Barca vibe. You get to see both the big landmarks and the smaller streets in between, which I really liked. It’s a mix of tourist highlights and everyday Barcelona has to offer... even if you’ve lived here for a while.

Easy to drive, even if you’ve never tried one

I never driven a quad before, but it was way easier than I expected. It’s electric, so it’s quiet and smooth, and the guide gives you quick instructions before you start. You do need a valid driver’s license, but if you’re going with someone, you can take turns driving. I went with my boyfriend and we switched halfway through, it made the whole thing more fun.

The guide was super relaxed, which made the whole experience feel super comfortable. He explained a few things about the sights along the way, but didn’t overload us with facts. The group was small, so it didn’t feel like we were part of a big tourist parade.

What You’ll See

The tour starts at Carrer de l’Hospital, 104–106, right in the Raval neighborhood. From there, you head toward Paseo de Colón, where you explore the port area before diving into the city streets.

You don’t stop at each landmark, but you pass by some of Barcelona’s biggest sights:

  • Sagrada Família

  • Arc de Triomf

  • Plaça de Catalunya

  • Rambla de Catalunya

After the loop, you head back to where you started, Carrer de l’Hospital. It’s a full circle, and you see a lot without feeling rushed.

What to Bring and Know Before You Go

  • Driver’s license,  required if you want to drive

  • Closed shoes, not mandatory, but better for driving

  • Small bag or backpack, storage on the quad is limited

  • Book ahead, especially on weekends, it fills up fast

  • Language options, the tour is available in English & Spanish

  • Price 89€, it’s charged per quad, not per person, so it’s a good deal if you’re going together

If you’ve already walked around Barcelona and want to see it from a different angle, this is a good one. It’s not intense, not too touristy, and you don’t need to be into driving or tours to enjoy it. It’s just a fun way to move through the city and see a bunch of places. I booked it for my boyfriend, thinking it’d be more his thing, but I ended up loving it too. We laughed, we saw a lot, and it was definetly a little adventure.

Would I do it again? Yeah, for sure.
